Instantly, the salivation is intensified, subtle sharpness in the form of black pepper and tart wood tones clothe the palate, a subtle musty and meringue aroma runs through the throat. Spicy oak and dried berries leave a hint of furniture polish and moldy sulfur on the tongue, on the palate stick dark oranges and dates. Mild, the first sip flows over the tongue. My salivation is getting more and more excited, I want to finally try the Mac! Slowly the nose becomes dirtier and wooden again Leather, spicy oak, tobacco and dried fruits end in furniture polish and a musty touch of sulfur. Spicy oak and dried berries play together, creamy milk chocolate melts in the sun, raisins inlaid in rum light up.
The furniture polish is intensified before sweet and creamy caramel dissolves and in combination with toffee and forest honey creates sweet elements. Hints of old leather and dried tobacco leaves follow, a touch of furniture polish pulls through the nose while minimal grapefruit aroma exudes its sour scent. The nose is a bit "dirty" over time, I imagine a minimal sulfur perceive. Sun-kissed dates and raisins give off their lush bouquet, old oranges and ripe sour cherries mix with creamy milk chocolate. Old dried grapes and berries are immediately noticeable, roasted aromas and hazelnuts show up, and gradually dark sherry aroma comes into its own. On the glass wall sticks a syrupy streak from the oily drops dissolve and slowly flow back into the glass. Wonderfully intense amber with a silky red shimmer shines in the Premium Snifter.
